Unit Price Comparison Calculator

Compare price per unit across products to find the best value

What is Unit Price Comparison?

Unit price comparison divides the total price by the quantity to calculate the cost per 100g, 100ml, or per item. This lets you compare products of different sizes on the same basis, making it easy to find the most economical option. Use it at the supermarket or online to decide between bulk and individual items.

How to Use

  1. Add 2–5 products you want to compare.
  2. Enter the price (₩), quantity, and unit for each product.
  3. Click 'Compare' to see the unit price for each.
  4. The green 'Best Value' badge marks the cheapest option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I compare g and ml products together?

No. g/kg (weight) and ml/L (volume) are different unit types and cannot be compared directly. Please compare products within the same unit type.

Can I compare kg and g products?

Yes! kg and g are the same unit type (weight) and are automatically converted for comparison. For example, a 500g product and a 1kg product can be accurately compared.

What is the calculation basis?

Weight (g/kg) and volume (ml/L) units are calculated per 100 units (per 100g or per 100ml). Count units (pcs/pack) are calculated per 1 item. All products are compared on the same basis.

How many products can I compare at once?

You can compare up to 5 products simultaneously. You need at least 2 products entered to see comparison results.

Tips for Unit Price Comparison

Essential for Grocery Shopping

Unit prices can vary greatly between different package sizes of the same product. For example, comparing a 500g yogurt and a 900g yogurt at face value is misleading. Use the unit price calculator to find the true cost per 100g instantly.

Smarter Online Shopping

Online stores often carry the same product in different sizes at different prices. Comparing unit prices for everyday items like detergent, shampoo, and food can save you tens of thousands of won per year.

Bulk vs. Individual

Bulk items aren't always cheaper. Sometimes individual items offer a better deal. Always check unit prices before buying to make the most economical choice.
