What is a keyboard heatmap?

A keyboard heatmap visualizes how frequently each key is used in a given text using color intensity. Keys used more often appear in red/purple, while less used keys appear in blue.

Can it analyze Korean text?

Yes, Korean text is automatically decomposed into individual jamo (consonants and vowels) and mapped to the Dubeolsik keyboard layout for accurate key frequency analysis.

How is finger usage calculated?

Finger usage is calculated based on standard touch typing finger assignments. Each key is mapped to the finger that should press it, showing left/right hand balance and per-finger breakdown.

Can I download the heatmap?

Yes, click the "Download Image" button to save the current keyboard heatmap as a PNG image.

How to Use the Keyboard Heatmap Generator

The Keyboard Heatmap Generator is a tool for visually analyzing text input patterns. Programmers can identify frequently used keys to optimize their keyboard layout, writers can understand their writing patterns, and typists can identify weak fingers for focused practice.

QWERTY and Dubeolsik Keyboard Layouts

This tool supports both English QWERTY and Korean Dubeolsik keyboard layouts. Korean input is decomposed into individual jamo to accurately analyze which physical keys were pressed. You can toggle between English and Korean mode to see key labels in either layout.
