What is Korea's Carbon-Neutral Action Points?

Korea's Carbon-Neutral Action Points program (탄소중립 실천포인트제) is an individual eco-activity incentive operated by the Korean Ministry of Environment and Korea Environment Corporation under the Korean Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth §34. Korean nationals aged 14 and older may register at cpoint.or.kr and earn points for verified participation in 8 activities: electronic receipts, reusable cups/tumblers, deposit-cup returns, refill stations, reusable-container delivery orders, EV/hydrogen charging, green commerce, and purchases at Korean green stores. Based on 2023 notice, payouts range from 100 KRW per receipt to 10,000 KRW per year for EV charging, with an annual personal cap of approximately 70,000 KRW (2024–2026 amounts subject to Korean Ministry of Environment updates). Awards are paid via partner credit-card points, bank transfer, or Korean Green Card gift.

Difference between Carbon Points and Carbon-Neutral Action Points?

Carbon Points is the household-level scheme based on Korea's electricity/water/gas reductions (up to ~100k KRW/yr), while Carbon-Neutral Action Points is the individual-level scheme based on 8 Korean eco-activities (up to ~70k KRW/yr). Both can be joined; caps apply separately.

Can I get cash?

Yes if you choose bank transfer as the payout method — points convert to cash once a minimum threshold is reached. Card-point and Green-Card gift methods are also available.

Are tumbler uses auto-tracked?

At Korean partner stores, membership/app integrations often auto-track. Some stores require on-site verification. Check the Korean portal for the current partner list.

What happens if I hit 70k KRW?

No further accrual that year; accrual resumes the following January. Activity verification continues but awards show 0 KRW.

Can minors join?

Ages 14+ may register with Korean legal-guardian consent; under 14 is not eligible.
