It uses the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm to completely randomize all participants, then assigns them to each team in order. Every participant has an equal probability of being assigned to any team.
If the number of participants doesn't divide evenly by the number of teams, earlier teams get one extra member. For example, 7 people into 3 teams becomes 3-2-2.
Click the 'Copy Results' button to copy the results as text to your clipboard. You can then paste it into a notepad or chat to share.
